It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jerry Petersen in Elwood, Nebraska, who passed away on December 6, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Petersen and Gladys Petersen (Estergard); his wife Anastasia Minnick; his son Joel Petersen; and his brothers, Eugene and Lavern.
He is survived by: his son Tim Petersen of Cambridge; his grandchildren, Frankie, Tobin Reinwald of Lincoln, Gus, Bailey Petersen of Cambridge, Zane and Aimee Petersen of Cambridge; and his great grandchildren, Porter, Murphy, Jerry, Wells Reinwald of Lincoln, Rex, Ozzy, Bonnie Petersen of Cambridge, Ace and Zoey Petersen of Cambridge.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lockenour-Jones Mortuary (604 Penn St, Cambridge, NE 69022). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the First Congregational United Church of Christ (515 Nelson St, Cambridge, NE 69022).
Memorials are suggested to the family of Jerry Petersen for later designation.
