Barkmeier (Peterson); her husband Gail Heffelfinger (Heff); her brother-in-law Roger Johnson, Sr.; her parents-in-law, Robert and Ruth Heffelfinger; her siblings-in-law, Douglas Heffelfinger, Richard Heffelfinger, Robert, Lyla Heffelfinger, James, Sandra Heffelfinger, Patricia, John Weigang, Shirley, Edward Craren and Ed Smallman; and her nephew Roger Johnson, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Gregg Heffelfinger (Theresa) of Jacksonville, Brad Heffelfinger (Andrea) of Papillion, Nebraska and Lynne Filipi (Brent) of Lincoln, Nebraska; her grandchildren, Christopher Heffelfinger, Nicholas Heffelfinger, Andrew Heffelfinger, Michael Heffelfinger, Jacob Heffelfinger, Dylan Filipi, Megan Heffelfinger and Tayah Filipi; her sister Suzanne Johnson; and her sisters-in-law, Margaret Heffelfinger, Jeanie Heffelfinger and Sandra Smallman.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Farmer Funeral Home (305 S Burlington Ave, Exeter, NE 68351). A rosary was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Saint Stephen Catholic Church (207 N Union Ave, Exeter, NE 68351). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
