Betty L. Williams Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty L. Williams of Fairbury, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 10, 2025 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Betty L. Williams to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leland Dragoo and Myrtle Dragoo (Goebel); her husband James L. Williams; her brother Jimmy Dale; her parents-in-law, Harry and Pauline Williams; her brothers, Dennis Dragoo and Darrol Dragoo; her sisters-in-law, Cheryl Dragoo, Vida Dragoo and Rena Dragoo; and her great grandchild Levi Hynek.
She is survived by: her children, Christine Hildreth (Ivan) of Fulton, MO, Michael Williams (Cheri) and Russell Williams (Cynthia) of Fairbury, NE; her grandchildren, Aaron Hildreth (Lauren) of Jefferson City, MO, LaTisha Dux (Nolan), Jessica Hynek (Colby) of Fairbury, NE, Jared Williams of Carlton, NE, Brian Williams (Angelica) of Kansas City, KS and Melissa Dux (Jordan) of Fairbury, NE; her great grandchildren, Benjamin, Elizabeth, Catherine Hildreth, Jayce Williams, Riata, Cade Hynek, Mateo, Lucas Williams, Emma and Grace Dux; and her siblings, Roger Dragoo of Albuquerque, NM, Jerry Dragoo (Leota), Karen Blaker (Dennis) of Sun City, AZ and Joyce Willett (Marvin) of Cody, WY. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home (2414 H St, Fairbury, NE 68352). A rosary will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (807 F St, Fairbury, NE 68352).
The family will greet friends Sunday evening from 5:30 – 7:00 at the Funeral Home followed by the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Memorials to the family's discretion.
