She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter McCoy and Beulah McCoy; her husband Gene; her parents-in-law, Leslie and Alma Gentzler; her brothers, Richard McCoy and Terry "Butch" McCoy (Cheril); her in-laws, Kenneth, Carolyn Gentzler, Norman and Jane Gentzler; and her great grandchild Thomas Gerald Mitchell.
She is survived by: her children, Ronald Gentzler (Peggy) of The Woodlands, TX and Debra Hellbusch (Richard) of Fairbury; her grandchildren, Keri Mitchell (Devin Hancock), Jessica Parmley (Tim), Nicholas Hellbusch and Katherine Brown (Adam); her great grandchildren, Kailynn Parmley, Cord Brown, Briley Brown, Ava Karis Brown, Alec Parmley, McCoy Mitchell and Walker Hancock; and her grandson Adrian Stewart (Bliss).
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home (2414 H St, Fairbury, NE 68352). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (2310 H St, Fairbury, NE 68352). A burial will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
