He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie Leroy and Sophia Kirkendall (Parchen); his wife Patty Maye Bright; his siblings, Jesse and Mary Howard; and his children-in-law, Bill Buethe and Janice Kirkendall.
He is survived by: his children, Susie Buethe of Elk Creek, NE, Randy (Renata) and Mark of Falls City. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
