She was predeceased by : her parents, George Nohl and Ona Nohl (Curran); her husband William "Bill" J. H. Gilbert; her sisters, Avis Beer and LaVerna Taylor; and her grandson Bruce Mapes.
She is survived by : her children, Shirley Mapes of Omaha, NE and Fred (Sandy) of Falls City. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, many great and great-great-grandchildren.
