He was predeceased by : his stepdaughter Michelle Peterson. He is survived by : his parents, Ed O'Grady and Patricia O'Grady (Darling) of Falls City; his former life partner Patricia Liebert; his wife Janyce Schuler-Kirkendall of Falls City; his stepson Todd Kirkendall (Suzan) of Warrensburg, MO; his stepson-in-law Larry Peterson of Chandler, AZ; and his siblings, Steve (Marsha) of Falls City, Chuck (Donna) of Falls City, Tom of Louisville, KY, Kristy O'Grady of Spurger, TX, Catherine Goza of Greeley, CO and Teresa O'Grady of Falls City. He is also survived by four step-grandchildren, two step-great-granddaughters, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to Falls City Catholic Cemetery.
