He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Benitz and Leona Benitz (Benningfield); his wife Glenda Fisher (Zoucha); his sister Virginia Jeffers (Bob); and his stepchildren, Mike Fisher and Phyllis Fisher.
He is survived by: his daughter Paula Kaslon (Curtis) of Lincoln; his stepdaughter Terri Fisher (Gary Navis); his stepson-in-law Joe Dougherty of Scottsdale, AZ; his grandchildren, Shelley Huppert (Korey), Jim and Mike Rhian; and his great grandchildren, Kamdyn and Kreighton Huppert (Ruth Groothuis) of Auburn.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Steele Cemetery (65060 706 Trail, Falls City, NE 68355).
Memorials can be made to the Falls City American Legion or Christ Lutheran Church in Falls City.
