Betty Hoppe-Stevens Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Hoppe-Stevens of Farnam, Nebraska, who passed away on September 30, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elgie Thompson and Nina Thompson (Hughes); her husbands, Gene Hoppe and Ken Stevens; and her sons, John and Wesley.
She is survived by: her children, Wendel Hoppe (Donna), Weldon Hoppe (Paula) and Sharla Rader (Brian); her stepdaughters, Nancy Gumb (John), Betsy Spilker (Kyle) and Sara Stehl (Kevin); and her sisters, Sally Thomas, Ruth Ann Hess and Pat Binning (Ron). She is also survived by ten grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and nine step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel (620 10th St, Gothenburg, NE 69138). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Farnam Methodist Church (303 Caribou St, Farnam, NE 69029).
