He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Hess and Katie Hess (Hueftle); his son Scott Hess; and his siblings, Gilbert, Clifford and Ruth Junker.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann; his daughters, Nancy Berry (Roger) of Lincoln, NE and Carol Hess of Overland Park, KS; his grandchildren, Andrea Johns (Trenton), Emily Park (Brandon), Ryan Hess (Amanda), Katie Bergeron (Dustin) and Jalen Hess; and his great grandchildren, Kadynce Johns, Kolton Johns, Hadley Park, Hunter Park, Hunter Hess, Finley Hess, Noah Bergeron and Liam Bergeron.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Farnam Methodist Church, Farnam Fire Department or the Farnam Senior Center.
