He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Ralph (A. R.) and Addie Mae Martin (Honnor); and his siblings, Vernon, Priscilla (Sis), Ralph (Hap), Robert and Lee.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Snyder; his daughters, Debra Heusman (Dale) of Sterling, Dottie Heusman (Kevin) of Sterling, Jan Benes (Terry) of Hickman and Jill Pirvu (Dragos) of Lincoln; his grandchildren, Sarah Shea, Sonya Hanson, Jessica DeKoning (Garrett), Klay Heusman (Lindsey), Kale Heusman (Kaylyn), Erika Benes, Ellie Westfall (Tyler), Tara Myers (Arlie), Joel Benes, Ryley LaVene (Andrea), Quaid Anthony, Keaton Anthony (Kirsten), Mark Pirvu and Rose Pirvu; his sister Donna Bijlsma (Hendrik) of Omaha; and his sister-in-law Eileen Panagiotis (Tom) of Grand Island. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home ~ Hickman (211 E 1st St, Hickman, NE 68372). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Bennet Community Church (350 Monroe St, Bennet, NE 68317).
