He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Hestermann and Janice Hestermann (Epley); his son Samuel John Hestermann; his father-in-law Jack Petersen; his nephew Corey Benson; his niece Josalynn Kennel; and his brothers-in-law, Jeff Brisson and Mike Schnitker.
He is survived by: his wife Jen Hestermann; his daughters, Emily Weaver (Zach) and Addison Hestermann (Treven Thies); his granddaughter Layklyn Thies; his sisters, Sharon Schnitker, Cynthia Bottger (Steve) and Vicky Benson (Alan); his sister-in-law Sara Boldt (John); and his mother-in-law Carol Petersen. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 13th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the Hickman Community Center (115 Locust St, Hickman, NE 68372).
