He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Stangl and Margaret Stangl of Dedham, IA; and his parents-in-law, Merle and Margaret Wiedemeier of Carroll, IA. He is survived by: his wife Theresa; his children, Ben (Lesley), Ellie, Zach (Alexis), Lydia Ulmer (Seth), Josiah (Becca), Susanna Kopsa (James), Julia Stachura (Ben), Justus (Emily), Michael (Morgan), Naomi, Chloe and Magdalene; and his siblings, Mark, Jeff (Jane), Cindy Hummel (Tom), Julie Harrill (Scott) and Todd. He is also survived by wife, children, and thirty-two grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Reach Church (13121 County Rd 16, Blair, NE 68008). A burial will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at the Kennard Cemetery (6701 County Rd 25, Kennard, NE 68034).
