He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley F. Shoemaker and Sue Shoemaker; his brother Kevin Shoemaker; and his siblings-in-law, Barb and Steve Tourney.
He is survived by: his sisters, Cathy Tourney and Lori Mettler (Jason); his former wife Marilyn Allen; his children, Chris Shoemaker, Janell Kriley (Tim) and Phillip Shoemaker (Kyle); his grandchildren, Ethan, Alyssa Shoemaker, Chance, Lily and Layla Kriley; and his nieces and nephews, Nicholas Mettler, Tara Veit, Stacey Flora, Sandi Tourney, Arthur Tellez and Theresa Sliva.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 13th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Crossgate Community Church (1230 GH, Franklin, NE 68939).
Memorials may be given to the family (Make Checks Payable to Janell Kriley) with furture hopes of starting a scholarship fund for kids going into trade vocations in care of Hutchins Funeral Home, 1402 M St, Franklin, Nebraska 68939.
