She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis J. Bowers and Henrietta M. Puls; her brothers, Rolland and Lloyd Bowers; her sister-in-law Carolyn Bowers; and her stepbrother Selby Meir.

She is survived by: her husband Lyle Skiles; her children, Teri Jelken (Dennis), Marcia Schriner (Gordon), Anita O'Neill (Kevin) and Blaine Skiles (Kathy); her sister-in-law Violet Bowers; and her sister Wanda Watson (Ed). She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; two and a half great, great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.
