We announce the death of Mark E. Goebel of Franklin, Nebraska, who passed away on October 11, 2026, at the age of 61. Mark will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Eugene Goebel; and his pet Molly. He is survived by: his mother Bonnie Goebel (Janssen); his siblings, Chris Goebel (Mary) and Sharlene Burkholder (Greg); his nephew Brandon Goebel (Kaitlin); his niece Brittany Goebel (Tyler Torres); his great-nieces, Everly Goebel and Raelynn Torres; his great-nephew Koen Goebel; and his aunt Kathy Janssen. He is also survived by numerous cousins and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hutchins Funeral Home (1402 M St, Franklin, NE 68939). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the New Franklin Fire Hall (625 20th Ave St, Franklin, NE 68939).
