She was predeceased by: her parents, August Westphal and Ruby Westphal (Millar); her husband Donald E. Rice; her siblings, A. Wilmer, Ronald Westphal (Juliette) and Joyce Westphal; and her brother-in-law Bill Welstead.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Root (Kevin) of Fremont, Lori DePasquale (Lou) of Puerto Penasco, Mexico and Mike Rice (Heather Zilles) of Phoenix, AZ; and her sister Victoria Welstead of Waco, TX. She is also survived by four granddaughters; seven great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
