She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Brand and Enies Brand (Henry); her parents-in-law, Merle and Lorrie Scott; and her brothers-in-law, Paul Siems and Jim Bieker.

She is survived by: her children, Brad Scott (Barb) and Beth Schiermann (Matt); her grandchildren, Courtney Petersen (Tanner), Blake Svatora (Autumn Schulenberg) and Brycen Svatora; her husband Merrill "Butch" Scott; her sister Joyce Siems (Brand); and her sisters-in-law, Carolyn Bieker and Jeanine Smith (Gary). She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ludvigsen Mortuary - Fremont (1249 E 23rd St, Fremont, NE 68025). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church (3200 E Military Ave, Fremont, NE 68025). A burial was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at the Memorial Cemetery (800 W 23rd St, Fremont, NE 68025).
