He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Z. Tomes and Rose B. Tomes (Kucera); and his son Bruce. He is survived by: his sister Veronica; his wife J. LaRue Snyder of North Bend, NE; his daughter Lori; his daughter-in-law Peggy Tomes; his grandchildren, Maegen Gredy (Jon), Alex Tomes (Jena) and Emily Lyon (Jace); and his sisters, Maxine Claussen and Mary Lueders. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Moser Memorial Chapel (2170 N Somers Ave, Fremont, NE 68025). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
