With sadness, we share the passing of Marilyn Sawyer of Fremont, Nebraska. Marilyn, born on January 2, 1932, passed away on October 4, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Marilyn Sawyer to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Muriel Bentley and Verdie'Ellen' Bentley (Springgate); her foster mother Alma Weyer (Sawyer); her husband Richard Dale Sawyer; her children, Marilyn Huffman, Nancy Page and Howard Sawyer; her siblings, Edith, Jean, Dale Bentley and Howard Bentley; her grandson Cory Huffman; and her great grandchild Savannah Huffman.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Sawyer Jr. (Michelle) of Willard, UT, Judy Freeman (Max) of Belleville, KS, JaneAnn Tharp (Scott) of Fremont and Colleen Wiedeman (Michael) of Waco, NE; her daughter-in-law Natalie Sawyer-Davis (Derek) of Rosalie, NE; and her brother Terry Bentley of Omaha. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-great granddaughter.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Moser Memorial Chapel (2170 N Somers Ave, Fremont, NE 68025). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the family for a future designation.
