She was predeceased by: her father Marvin Cappen; and her brother Robert Thurman. She is survived by: her husband Larry Jacob; her children, April Simmons (Dana) of Chandler, Arizona and Airon Jacob of Fremont; her grandchildren, Noah Teters (Rhegyn), Aireal Jacob (Ryan), Justice Lallman (Ethan) and Brayden Jacob; and her siblings, Lou Polke (David) of Mesa, Arizona, Tom Ashburn of Fremont, Sherry Reandeau (late Stephen) of Fremont and Patricia Carson of Big Spring, Texas. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Moser Memorial Chapel (2170 N Somers Ave, Fremont, NE 68025). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be given to the Avenue of Flags.
