He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Ankersen and Agnes Ankersen; his brother Dave; his siblings-in-law, Sharron and Don Hollen (Sylvia); his son-in-law Robert Medley (Darcie); and his great grandchild Ezra.
He is survived by: his spouse Jan (Honaker); his children, Debbie Lefler (Bruce), Mark (Sue), Denise DeCosta (Wayne) and Darcie Medley (Robert); and his siblings, Robert Ankersen and Sylvia Hollen. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Fremont Church of the Nazarene (960 Johnson Rd, Fremont, NE 68025). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to Gentiva Hospice and Fremont Church of the Nazarene, organizations that hold a special place in their hearts.
