He was predeceased by: his parents, Gus Ott and Eleanor Ott (Mehan); his sister Jeanne Bang; and his half-brother Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Alvertus Jones; his children, Tracy Swanson (Mike), Paige Ott, Kristi Wilson (Jon) and Mitch Ott (Becca); his grandchildren, Mariah, Brandon, Taylor, Brooke, Seth, Kendra, Samantha and Gabe; and his great grandchildren, Isabella and Ellie.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Moser Memorial Chapel (2170 N Somers Ave, Fremont, NE 68025). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Morse Bluff/North Bend Veterans Memorial Park, North Bend, NE.
