He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Blumer and Alice "Blanche" Blumer (Conrad); and his sisters, Kay Houser (Vic) and Cora Braun (Clifford "Shorty"). He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his daughters, Deb Griess (Gail) of Sutton, NE, Michelle Leenerts of Papillion, NE and Angela Plahn (Michael) of Lincoln, NE; his sister Nancy Tomrdle (Rod) of Fremont, NE; and his grandchildren, Jessica Fruchtl (AJ), Stephanie Laetsch (Matt), Gina Osterhaus, Justin Leenerts, Abigail Osterhaus, Anna Leenerts, Connor Plahn and Brooke Plahn. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Moser Memorial Chapel (2170 N Somers Ave, Fremont, NE 68025). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (3400 E 16th St, Fremont, NE 68025).
Memorials are suggested to the Eastern Nebraska Veterans' Home (Allegiance Unit) in Bellevue, NE.
