It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emil Joseph Zimmer of Fullerton, Nebraska, who passed away on September 18, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Zimmer and Victoria Zimmer (Miller); his daughter Kristi Zimmer; and his siblings, Marge Jerabek, Sharon Schroeder and John Zimmer.
He is survived by: his daughters, Karrie Ziemba (Chuck) of Fullerton and Kathie Zimmer of Grand Island; his stepdaughter Nikki Welch (Chad); his grandchildren, Blaine Buller, Shawna Ziemba, Chaz Ziemba, Rylee Zimmer, Liam Buller and Jackson Zimmer; his brother Louis Zimmer (Holly) of Fullerton; his brother-in-law Carl Jerabek (Kenneth Schroeder); and his sibling's children, Eric Zimmer, Brian Zimmer, Chad Jerabek, Jamie Jerabek, Rick Jerabek, Melissa Decker (Jim), Hilary Zimmer and Andrea Jerabek. He is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Peter Catholic Church (315 N Esther St, Fullerton, NE 68638). A vigil service was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
