Rose Marie Zaruba Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rose Marie Zaruba of Fullerton, Nebraska, who passed away on November 2, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Knopik and Caroline Knopik (Lesiak); her husband Carroll Zaruba; her sons, Stephen and Charles Gilson; her grandson Alex Crabtree; her siblings, Katherine Casey (Earl), Ethel Kava (Charlie), Elizabeth Stopak (Louis), Lorraine Hamel (Darwin), Mary Gdowski (Ben), Edward (Leatrice), Virgil (Irene), Richard (Doris), Frank (Katie), Louis, Lawrence (Arlene) and Jerome Knopik; and her son-in-law Daniel Stetz.
She is survived by: her children, Sue Stetz of Fullerton, NE, Jacque Crabtree (Scott) of Leavenworth, KS, Wayne Gilson (Sue) of Schuyler, NE, Terry Gilson (Kathy) of Waterloo, NE and Scott Zaruba (Susan) of Norfolk, NE; and her sisters-in-law, Donna and Rita Knopik. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Peter Catholic Church (315 N Esther St, Fullerton, NE 68638). A vigil service was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for designation at a later date.
