It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donna Y. Thompson (Geneva, Nebraska), who passed away on March 3, 2026, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard Cornelius Hulse and Edith Irene Hulse (Boden); her husband George Willard Thompson; her daughters, Francine Kae and Georgia Kim Thompson; her siblings, Charles "Chuck" Hulse, Beverly Ely (William), Janice Galusha (Del), Suzanne Languis and Judith Becker; her sisters-in-law, Shirley Petroff (James) and Virginia Hultman (Earl); and her nephew Larry Ely.
She is survived by: her daughter Jenny; her granddaughter Nicole Thompson; her great-aunt Jenny (Halloween); her children, Jennifer Klipp (Leslie) of York and Donavan Kelly Thompson of Fairmont; her grandchildren, Scott Christopher Thompson (Anna) of Omaha, NE and Nicole Danae Wissing (Michael) of Surprise, AZ; her great grandchildren, Grayson, Cassidy Wissing, Mason, Camden and Ava Thompson; her siblings, Gloria Swartz (James) of Marshall, MN, Cynthia Rethwisch (Jon) of Wayne, Crystal Davis (Kevin) of York and Marvin Hulse (Corinne) of York; and her siblings-in-law, Rex Becker of Kingman, AZ, Don Languis of Panama, NE and Lois Bertron (Myron) of Frederick, CO. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 9th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Farmer & Son Funeral Home (242 N 10th St, Geneva, NE 68361). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 10th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Fairmont Community Church (705 F-Jefferson St, Fairmont, NE 68354).
