With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George H. Volkmer of Geneva, Nebraska, who passed away on May 27, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Ernest Volkmer and Emma Volkmer (Reinsch); his daughter Brenda Volkmer; and his siblings, Ervin, Kenneth, John, Roger Volkmer, Eunice Chitwood and Delores Volkmer.

He is survived by : his former life partner Norva Reemts; his children, Missy Bates (John) of Baker City, Oregon and Ivan Volkmer (Shaunda) of Schuyler, Nebraska; and his brother Merlin Volkmer of Shickley, Nebraska. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Memorials are to be directed to the family to be designated at a later date.
