With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James M. Mewhirter (Geneva, Nebraska), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 30, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Rudy" Mewhirter and Ruth Mewhirter; his former wife Laura Lee Mewhirter; and his daughter Trisha Lee Mewhirter. He is survived by: his wife Sandi Mewhirter of Geneva, Nebraska; his sons, James "Chris" Mewhirter (Kim) of Blue Earth and Jason Mewhirter of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his stepchildren, Travis Mason (Karyl) of Omaha and Tanya Ackerman (Jason) of Omaha, Nebraska; and his sisters, Lyn Waegli (Art) of Harvard, Judy Connelly (Tom) of Fallon and Terri Clark (Bill) of Kearney, Nebraska.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Farmer & Son Funeral Home (242 N 10th St, Geneva, NE 68361).
