It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Loretta E. Kowalski (Geneva, Nebraska), who passed away on September 15, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Loretta E. Kowalski to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Abram and Lillian Esther Neville (Sughrue); her husband Bob Kowalski; her sons, Lee and Christopher; and her sister Anne Puncochar.
She is survived by: her children, Kate Lange (John) of Bruning, Joni Johnson (Jerry) of Hebron, Kevin Kowalski (Kris) of Wilber and Laurie Grell (Allan) of Omaha; her grandchildren, Jared, James and Samantha Lange; her children, Claire, Rachel Johnson, Garrett Kowalski (Erin), Wyatt Kowalski (Sophie), Cassidy Whittington (Mitchell), Josh Walsh, Alyssa, Hannah and Ryan Grell; and her great grandchild Brigham Kowalski (Garrett). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Farmer & Son Funeral Home (242 N 10th St, Geneva, NE 68361). A rosary was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (360 Eads Ave, Hebron, NE 68370). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials were directed to the American Lung Association or Padre Pio Foundation of America.
