Vern L. Johnson Obituary
We announce the death of Vern L. Johnson (Geneva, Nebraska), who passed away on June 8, 2026, at the age of 85. Vern will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Ervin and Alice Marie Johnson (Chase); and his siblings, Doris Bailey (Rex), Frances Jones (Gary), Betty Bottger (Rich), Connie Ervin, Peggy Johnson, Donald Johnson and Charley Johnson (Belva).
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Johnson of Geneva; his children, Dan Johnson (Sandra) of Wilber, Nebraska, Vicky Davis (Brian) of Abu Dhabi and Dave Johnson (Robin) of Gordon, Nebraska.; his grandchildren, Dylan Davis, Tessa Davis, Colten Johnson (Abby), Valerie Johnson, Tyler Johnson and Haley Johnson; and his sisters, Billie Maas (Don) and Mona Shuman (Don). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, friends.
In recognition of his extensive service, Vern received the Woodsmen Award in 1981 for his conscientious and dedicated contributions to the Geneva community.
