With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Norene Holmstedt of Genoa, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 19, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Len Smith and Viola Smith (Brown); her husband William Holmstedt; her son Tracy Holmstedt; her grandson Shawn Coble; and her sister Bertha Ljunggren (Lloyd).
She is survived by: her children, Gena Nissen (Mark) and Edwin "Sam" Holmstedt; her grandchildren, Billi Brodecky (Adam), Adam Coble (Courtney), Danielle Jones (Parker), Ryan Hudiburgh (Kylee), Jennifer Baney (Jesse), Seth Holmstedt, Anna Roy (Mike), Schanell Saucedo (Diego) and Sierra Holmstedt; and her sister Shirley Ljunggren (Don). She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
