He is survived by: his son Wayne Louis (Cheryl); his granddaughter Ashley Apodac (Uriah Pollick); his sisters, Connie Kush and Roseann Wehrbein Step (Bill); and his children, Larry Preister, Bob Preister (Jody), Janice Zach (Chuck), Donna Olmer, Denise Stevenson (Doug), Ron Preister (Ronnette), Dale Preister (Michelle) and Janelle Preister (Kandie Fiala). He is also survived by Step- Grandchildren and Step- Great Grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church (116 N Elm St, Genoa, NE 68640). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
