He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Gross and Irene Lucille Gross (Hoffman); his brothers, Donald (Donna) and Ronald Gross; his mother-in-law Emma Meter; his sister-in-law Cindi Meter; and his niece Jeri Lea Prieels.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Meter; his children, Sean Gross, Deana Spreier (Scott), Melissa Zeiler (Monty) and Ryan Gross (Beth); his grandchildren, Jennifer Henkel, Jordan Gross, Kaylee Brown, Brittney Spreier, William Schwartzkopf III, Alysha Schwartzkopf, Collin Schwartzkopf, Travis Zeiler, Jillian, Evan, Gracin and Meagan Barger; his great grandchildren, Zayla Nichols, Zaydean Schwartzkopf and Kason Schwartzkopf; his sisters, Shirley Conn and Carole Gross; his father-in-law Robert Meter; and his brother-in-law Robin Meter (Kristi).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Reverence Funeral Parlor (2002 Char Ave, Scottsbluff, NE 69361). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Calvary Memorial Church (265 18th St, Gering, NE 69341).
Memorials may be made in care of the family for later designation.
