He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hastings and Irene Hastings (Derra); his wife Rosalie; his siblings, Wayne Hastings (Joyce), Delores VanBoening (Dale) and Wanda (Rich Aldrich); his parents-in-law, Elmer and Reva Cox; his brothers-in-law, Rich Anderson, Duane Cox (Lois), Darrel Cox (Norma) and Merle Cox; and his siblings' children, Stuart VanBoening, Mark Cox, Robin Cox and Connie Tines.
He is survived by: his children, Kim Loomis of Gering, Jodi Benson (Joe) of Scottsbluff and Bob Hastings (Traci) of Norfolk; and his siblings-in-law, Lee Cox (Jan) of Omaha, Pat Cox of Hayes Center, Gloria Messersmith (Leland) of Cozad, Linda Shandera (Joe) of Lincoln and Cathy Cox of McCook. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
