It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Elaine Scripter of Gering, Nebraska, who passed away on December 23, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her children, Rick Scripter (Beverly) of Gering, Kim Johns (Mike) of Mitchell, Kris Christian (Dave) of Gering, Stacey Miller (Ty) of Greeley and Bob Scripter (Kim) of Scottsbluff; her grandchildren, Luke Scripter of Hong Kong, Jeff Scripter of Minneapolis, Mark Scripter (Krista) of Minneapolis, Micah Scripter of Gering, Michael Ann Relka (Justin) of Mitchell, Taylor Gollas (Adam) of Mitchell, Molly Howard (Nick) of Morehead, Mandy Murphy (Anthony) of Hastings, Reed Miller (Hannah) of Eaton, Rachel Willard (Andrew) of Florence, Montana, Lauren Overmiller (Andrew) of Fort Collins, Reese Scripter of Scottsbluff and Cade Scripter of Scottsbluff; her great grandchildren, Rayce, Alivia, Elliet Relka, Tilly Jo Gollas, Zachary, Caroline Howard, Camden, Bennett, James, Isaac Miller, Ivy and Sophia Overmiller; her siblings, Jeanne Smith (Bob) of Norfolk, Cathy Segrist of Surprise, Shelia Carr of Valentine, Nebraska and Robert Carr (Terrie) of Valentine, Nebraska; her brother-in-law Dick Scripter (Lynn) of Scottsdale, Arizona; and her pet Pepper. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Gering Zion Church or Festival Hope.
