He was predeceased by: his son Phillip Lee Pierce; his parents, Betty Nuss and Manley Pierce; his stepfather Victor Nuss; his grandparents, Walter and Opal Schmidt; and his in-laws, Orville and Delois Garrard.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Pierce; his daughter Carissa Pierce; his granddaughters, Isabelle McNabb and Gabrielle McNabb; his sister Debbie Smith (Jerry Smith); his cousins, Dick and Rex Schmidt; and his siblings-in-law, Janice Schafer and Ken Garrard (Carol). He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
