He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Christy and Irene Christy (Daily); and his brothers, Bill, Roger and Michiel Christy.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Christy of Gibbon; his children, Michael Christy of Kearney, Kimberly Hynes (Kevin) of Kearney and Gayle Keller (Bart) of Falls City, NE; his grandchildren, Kaelin Hynes of Omaha, Korbin Hynes (Kelsey) of Kearney, Addison Keller of Falls City, Aliza Keller of Falls City and Jacek Christy of Kearney; his great grandchild Atlas Hollens of Falls City; and his siblings, Lynn Dora Mitchell of San Jose, CA, Marvin Christy (Kathy) of Minden, NV and Richard Christy (Rusty Rhynalds) of Lincoln, NE. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gibbon Baptist Church (705 Court St, Gibbon, NE 68840). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Gibbon Baptist Church or Victoria Creek Cemetery.
