He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice McNerney and Betty McNerney (Gimpel); his wife Joellen Schmidt (Beckstead); and his brother-in-law Dusty Kohl. He is survived by: his daughters, Laura Happold (Joe) and Karly McNerney; his sisters, Kathy McNerney-Kohl and Liz Cornwell; his grandchildren, Logan Ebbert, Mallory, Michael, Luke and Asher Happold; his close friend Shannon Nocera; his nephew Casey Cornwell (Taylor); his stepdaughter Tina Hornbacher; his stepgrandson Gage Meyers; and his pet Koz.
