We announce the death of Gary Allen Whitcomb of Glenvil, Nebraska, who passed away on October 16, 2026, at the age of 84. He was predeceased by: his parents, Merton Whitcomb and Doris Whitcomb (Rider); his brothers, Don Whitcomb and Bob Whitcomb; and his great grandchildren, Laynee McCurdy and Ryder Whitcomb.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Whitcomb of Glenvil; his sons, Scott (Carrie Whitcomb) of Ayr and Todd (Tina Whitcomb) of Hastings; his grandchildren, Jordan Whitcomb (Blake), Keeley Whitcomb (Shayla) and Kinser Gergen (Renea Frakes); his great grandchild Asher Whitcomb; and his siblings-in-law, Jim and Judy Mitchell. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Butler Volland Chapel (1225 N Elm Ave, Hastings, NE 68901). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be given to First Presbyterian Church or Glenvil Fire and Rescue.
