Deen Johnson Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Deen Johnson of Gordon, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 17, 2026 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Deen Johnson to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Johnson and Myrtle Johnson (Gordon); his wife Kathryn Olds; his in-laws, Lester and Verna Olds; his sister Rita Mulcahy; his son-in-law Casey Nelson; his grandson-in-law Mark Hartman; his brothers-in-law, William Bruns, Donald Boettcher and Henry Otte; and his great grandchild Bridger Krebs.

He is survived by: his children, Janice Nelson of Winnetoon, NE, Rodney (Donna Johnson), Russell (Lisa Johnson) and Valarie (Nathan Geisert); his grandchildren, Walter Nelson, Delacia Hartman, Kathryn Kaufman, Deen Leroy Johnson, Krystal Freeseman, Kohl Johnson, Kaleigh Krebs, Kyle Rolf, Jakeb Geisert, Jordan Folsom and Jensen Rezac; his sisters, Gwen Otte, Deanna Bruns and Norma Boettcher; and his brother-in-law John Mulcahy (Annabelle Evert). He is also survived by twenty-one great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren.

A memorial has been established for the United Methodist Church in Gordon.
