It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wes Wilsey (Gordon, Nebraska), who passed away on April 9, 2026, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Wilsey and Nellie Wilsey (Huss); his wife Joann Johnson Wilsey; his former wife Pearl Wilsey; his siblings, Charles'Chuck' Wilsey (Sammy), George Wilsey (Lillian), Harry Wilsey (Lucy), Vern Wilsey (Ada), Howard Wilsey, Marjorie Fenner (Dempsey) and Carol Price (Charles); and his granddaughters, Johanna and Elizabeth Wilsey.
He is survived by: his brother James'Jim' Wilsey (Caroline) of Elm Springs, SD; his children, Brett Wilsey (Charlotte) of Rapid City, SD, Bart Wilsey (Ingrid) of Farmington, NM, Amy Schmoller (Dave) of Gordon, NE and Peggy Wilsey of Sabetha, KS; and his stepchildren, Marlys Hartbauer (Brad) of Westcliffe, CO, Marilyn Armstrong of Gordon, NE, Mike Armstrong of Prescott Vally, AZ, Mel Armstrong (Dea) of Waukesha, WI, Jennifer Strait (Collin) of White River, SD and Jessica Abbott (Jerod) of Hot Springs, SD. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; many, many beloved nieces and nephews and friends.
