She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Lindstrom and Elsie Lindstrom (Urbom); her husband DeWayne Harold Alexander; her siblings, Gerald Lindstrom (Martha), Marilyn Gloor (Dick), Carolyn Olesen (Elliott) and Ilene Brown (Wally); her siblings-in-law, DoraDean Robinson (Joe) and William Alexander; her mother-in-law Nora Alexander (Green); and her nephew Roger Wyatt.
She is survived by: her children, Ron Alexander of Gothenburg, Judy Jobman (Rod) of Oviedo and Jill Sowders (Ed) of Tryon; her sister Mildred Brown (Jim) of Holdrege; her sister-in-law Delores Alexander of Omaha; her grandchildren, RJ Jobman of Fort Lauderdale, Ryan Jobman (Karen) of Lake Spivey, Georgia, Alison Kohler (Doug) of North Platte, NE and Jacob Sowders (Raegan) of Wichita, Kansas.; and her great grandchildren, Avery Jobman, Blayden, Keegan Piehl, Carson, Grayden, Britt and Cru Sowders.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel (620 10th St, Gothenburg, NE 69138). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the American Lutheran Church (1512 Avenue G, Gothenburg, NE 69138). A burial will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Fort McPherson National Cemetery (12004 South Spur 56a, Maxwell, NE 69151).
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Lutheran Church, Gothenburg Volunteer Fire Department or to Cathryn's name for a memorial to be placed at Lake Helen.
