He was predeceased by: his parents, Minnie Dowson (Maxwell) and William Earl Dowson; his former wives, Patricia Kleist (Kleist) and Elizabeth Greenly; his siblings, Dale, Gertrude Archer, Goldie Richter (Irene), Ida Mae Brott, Marvin and Lewis; and his nephew Richard Richter.
He is survived by: his children, Beth Cullan (Pete) of Gothenburg and Eric Dowson (Janet) of Great Bend, Kansas; his grandchildren, Amanda VanSkike (Todd), Amber Koch (Matt), Jessica Cullan (Doug), Alyssa LaPierre (Rob), Kristy Hammer (Derek) and Joel Cullan; and his great grandchildren, Gavin, Gentry VanSkike, Owen, Reece, Elliot, Meyer Koch, Charlotte Cullan, Rey, Maya, Adelyn and Henry LaPierre. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations in Dean's memory may be made to the American Heart Association or to the donor's choice in care of Holechek-Bondegard Funeral Home in Oshkosh, NE.
