With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dixie Ackerman in Gothenburg, Nebraska, who passed away on September 10, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Reynolds Rhinehart and Nona Rhinehart (Forden); and her husband Clifford Ackerman. She is survived by: her children, Teresa Serafin (Jeff) of Lincoln and Mike Ackerman (Carmen) of Gothenburg; her sister Jeanie Johnson (Steve) of Gothenburg; her grandchildren, Jennifer Serafin (Luanne) of Lakewood, WA, Erin Odem of Lincoln, Amaya Ackerman of Lincoln, Arissa Ackerman of Savannah, GA and Ian Ackerman of Lincoln; and her great grandchildren, Gracie, Everett Odem and Connor Serafin.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Gothenburg Volunteer Fire Department or the First Presbyterian Church.
