He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Jorgenson and Bernice Jorgenson (Peterson); his wife Janice Jorgenson (Welch); his daughter Barbara Nelson (Jorgenson); and his brother Richard Jorgenson (Molly).
He is survived by: his sons, Robert (Jill Gonzales) of Gothenburg, NE, Bradly (Elizabeth Zarek) of Gothenburg, NE, Brent (Carie Wilson) of Woodbury, MN and Bryce (Rebecca Abbott) of Orleans, NE; and his brothers, Charles Jorgenson (Cindy) of Callaway, NE and Neil Jorgenson (Suzie) of Callaway, NE.. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.
