It is with sadness that the passing of Lewis H. Evert of Gothenburg, Nebraska is shared. Lewis, born on November 15, 1947, passed away on August 29, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Evert and Lucille Johnson Evert; and his brother John G Evert. He is survived by: his wife Trudy; his children, Amy Harrison (Kully) of Gothenburg and Kirk Evert (Rachael) of Brady; his grandchildren, Brady Harrison (Hannah), Kaitlyn Witt (Reegon), Addison Evert and Aubrey Evert; and his great grandchild Dean Evert Harrison.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel (620 10th St, Gothenburg, NE 69138). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Brady or Gothenburg Fire Departments.
