He was predeceased by : his parents, Beatty Douthit and Permelia Douthit (Gregg); his sister Helen Reutlinger; and his caregiver Brenda Norman. He is survived by : his wife Donna Sternecker; his children, Randall and Dana; his son-in-law Tom Strasheim; his grandsons, Jaret, Caden and Blake Strasheim; his nephews, Ted and Tom Reutlinger; his sister Joan Wallick; his niece Kathy Wallick; his nephew Greg Wallick; his sister-in-law Sharon Bowman; his nephews, Todd and Chad Bowman; and his caregivers, Darlene McBee, Laura Maggiore, Lorri Kaelin and Jackie Guerrero.

The family requests no flowers; memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer Foundation.
