He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Henry Kaul and Edith Lucille (Edie); his parents-in-law, Ray and Marilyn Schroeter; and his siblings-in-law, Ron Grape, Duane Gettert and Dorothy Kaul.

He is survived by: his wife Rita Kaul; his daughters, Kristin Lewandowski (Jeremy) of Grand Island, Sara Brownwood (Levi) of York and Rebecca DaCruz (Neto) of Kearney; his grandchildren, Hailey, Gavin Lewandowski, Emmett, Edith "Elle" Brownwood, Braiden and Marcelino Jr. DaCruz; his siblings, Mark Kaul of Auburn and Lora Grape of St. Edward; and his pet Sonny. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St. Edward FFA Department, Holy Cross Music Department or the Ryder Park Foundation.
