He was predeceased by: his mother Diane Stalder Gewecke (Stalder); his grandparents, Leo Stalder, Margaret and Vern Gewecke; and his stepgrandfather Charles Wells.
He is survived by: his father Dennis R. Gewecke; his wife Samantha Gewecke of Grand Island; his stepmother Kelly Gewecke of Kearney; his parents-in-law, Bill and Ruth Daharsh of Cozad; his brothers, Travis Gewecke (Katie) of Kearney and Steven Gewecke (Megan) of Kearney; his stepsiblings, TJ Kahman of Fairfield, NE and Maggie Kahman of Kearney; his brother Matt Daharsh (Denise) of Fort Morgan, CO; his nieces and nephews, Chase, Ryker, Grady, Mason Gewecke, Liberty Gewecke, Carlin Discigil (Justin), Gabi Daharsh and Chloe Daharsh; his grandmother Jerry Stalder of Beaver City; and his stepgrandmother Bunny Wells of Kearney. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Habitat for Humanity, care of the family.
